From a Internet marketing stand point I am excited. Yahoo consistently let me down as I tried to register my website with them, and use their advertising tools.
So far, my registration of my site with bing has been easy, and painless. Not as much traffic as yahoo and google, but there is still time.

From a branding perspective, I think this will not help yahoo or MS. MS has a bad rep in my circle, and yahoo has a historically good rep, but has been flagging of late. So bringing these two together, give the MS dislikers an incentive to finally move to google for their search. And people how stayed with yahoo, were staying based on loyalty, and they won’t bring anyone new from a MS perspective.
Just my take, but there it is.
